PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 PCI Express 512MB
PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2 PCI-E Video Card offer ultra high-end multi-GPU professional graphics performance and features for extreme CAD, DCC, scientific, and visualization applications.
The PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2 PCI-E is architected around two NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 graphics processing units (GPUs). Multi-GPU rendering delivers maximum performance and highest image quality, leveraging 32x full scene antialiasing (FSAA) for graphics intensive applications. Quad dual-link DVI outputs provides maximum visual real estate on up to four ultra-high resolution displays (2560 x 1600). NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2 by PNY delivers 33.6GB/sec. memory bandwidth and a 256-bit memory interface with support for 1024MB of ultra-fast GDDR3 memory (512MB per GPU).
NVIDIA's innovative SLI technology is made available to any PCI Express system by the PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2 PCI-E. Quadro SLI technology enables dual NVIDIA Quadro GPUs to span an OpenGL window across multiple displays, or to run a single application per GPU. When used with an SLI connector top-speed performance on a single display is realized by leveraging the capabilities of both NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 GPUs as if they were a single graphics card. SLI can output in digital or analog formats allowing maximum display flexibility.

Unparalleled Subpixel Precision
12-bit subpixel precision delivers high geometric accuracy, eliminating spreckles, cracks, and other rasterization anomalies.
Hardware-Accelerated Pixel Read-Back
Greater than 2.4GB/Sec., pixel read-back performance delivers massive host throughout, more than 10x the performance of previous generation graphics systems.
Rotated Grid Full Screen Antialiasing (RG FSAA)
RG FSAA sampling algorithm introduces far greater sophistication in the sampling pattern, significantly increasing color accuracy and visual quality for edges and lines, reducing "jaggies" while maintaining performance.
High Precision Dynamic Range Imaging (HPDR) Technology
Sets new standards for image clarity and quality through floating point capabilities in shading, filtering, texturing, and blending. Enables unprecedented rendered image quality for visual effects processing.
NVIDIA PureVideo Technology
NVIDIA PureVideo technology is the combination of high-definition video processors and software that delivers unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color, and precise image scaling for SD and HD video content. Features include high-quality scaling, spatial temporal de-interlacing, inverse telecine, and high quality HD video playback from DVD.
Quad Dual-Link Digital Display Connectors
Two dual-link TMDS transmitters support ultra-high resolution panels (up to 2560 x 1600 on each panel) - resulting in amazing image quality and detailed photorealistic images.
NVIDIA SLI Technology
NVIDIA SLI technology enables dynamically scalable graphics performance, enhanced image quality, and expanded display real estate.
SLI Frame Rendering allows the FX 4500 X2, with an SLI connector installed, to transparently scale application performance on a single display by presenting both NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 GPUs to the operating system as a single graphics card.
SLI Multi View combines the power of both NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 GPUs to span a single hardware-accelerated OpenGL application window across multiple displays or run a single application per GPU with multiple display outputs.

MFG PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2
Part Number VCQFX4500X2-PCIE-PB
The PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2G PCI-E 512MB delivers framelock/genlock functionality to unprecedented levels of industrial
realism, visualization and collaborative capabilities. This Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 PCI-E 512MB provides features for
advanced multisystem visualization and multi-device film and video environments. This PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 PCI-E 512MB supports framelock, genlock, and synchronized frame buffer swap and refresh rate.
The NVIDIA Quadro G-Sync board is designed to fit into any available expansion slot within 6 inches of the
PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 connector. The G-sync derives all data and power directly from the PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 video card.
Frame lock allows the display channels from multiple workstations to be synchronized, thus creating one large
"virtual display" that can be driven by a multisystem cluster for performance scalability.
Genlock allows the graphics output to be synchronized to an external source, typically for film and broadcast
video applications.
Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 working with four DVI monitor displays
The PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 will synchronize 4 DVI provided they are all in the same display mode, which
means the same resolution and refresh rate on the same monitor.
- If all 4 DVI displays are not the same mode on the same monitor then the following configuration setup applies:
- The display chosen on the Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 video card connected to the primary socket on the G-sync card will
- drive the sync or be synchronized to an external source.
- If the second display on the Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 video card connected to the primary socket on the G-sync is a
- different display mode (analog is different to digital even at the same resolution) then the second display cannot
- be synchronized.
- If the second display on the Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 video card connected to the primary socket on the G-sync is
- exactly the same refresh rate and resolution on the same type of monitor and both are analog or both are digital
- then the second display will also be synchronized.
A How To set up Dual Monitors for PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 Retail
You need to make sure you have both monitors connected to your computer and powered-up before attempting to setup nView.
Here are the steps to configure multiple displays with your PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 X2 Retail video card.
- Right click on the desktop and select "Properties"
- In the Display Properties control panel click the "Settings" tab.
- On the bottom right corner of the window click "Advanced...".
- In the Advanced window click the GeForce tab.
- Click the "nView Display Modes" option.
- You must now choose what mode you would like to setup:
- Clone will mirror your primary display to your secondary display: This setting is good for use with a projector.
- Horizontal Span/Vertical Span: This will stretch your display across both displays horizontally or vertically depending on what option you select.
- Once you have selected the option you would like to use, click "Apply".
- Windows will now ask you if you would like to keep these new settings, if you do not click "Yes" within 10 seconds the displays will default back to single monitor and you must repeat the above steps.
